The Reach Out Foundation is a non-profit behavioral health drop in center that hosts over 13,000 visits a year. For the past 15 years, Reach Out has offered free support to people managing mental health and/or addiction disorders. Reach Out's mission is to create a safe and accepting environment for anyone in need of support, education, and/or resources. We fully embrace the principles of self-help, and above all, strive to provide the opportunity to empower one another in recovery. Reach Out is often an individual's first step toward seeking a better quality of life. Reach Out works diligently to network with many local services and programs to provide an array of available options to the consumers.
In addition to hosting 19 weekly support groups and 2 monthly educational video showings, Reach Out also hosts many events to promote creativity and socialization, which are believed to be vital to advancing in recovery.
In 2008, Reach Out was the driving force for initiating and implementing a Code Blue Program for the homeless in Bucks County. Thanks to the new Code Blue Program, hundreds of homeless individuals are provided safe and warm shelter when weather conditions present threat of death or harm to the unsheltered.
Currently, Reach Out's services are in jeopardy due to loss of funding. It is imperative that Reach Out raises money in order to continue this valuable service in this community.
